Following the success of the Ocean Accounts Exchange event last March in Costa Rica, the Pledge to Advance Ocean Accounts by 2030 remains a key outcome.

This webinar will serve as a follow-up to reinforce momentum for the Pledge and offer an opportunity for additional countries to engage with the initiative before the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC 3) in June 2025.

The presentations will introduce the Pledge, share why it is important for global sustainable ocean development and how your country or organisation can sign before or during UNOC 3.

The session will include presentations from countries that are interested in signing the pledge, discussing their progress and commitment to integrating ocean accounts into national governance frameworks.

Secretariat Director of GOAP, is a Scientia Fellow at UNSW and a Visiting Senior Fellow at the University of Wollongong. He focuses on sustainable ocean policies and environmental data in planning.
